Antique Carved Wood Figural Dragon Table
The dealer believed this beautiful carved wood table to be Tibetan in origin, and although we can’t be sure it is certainly a striking example of craftsmanship, and likely dates from the late 19th century. Its three serpentine legs form totemic dragons, intricately detailed with scales and scrollwork. Its round top is carved with rings of floral, bead, and foliate detail, and where there are some watermarks to the table top it is remarkably well preserved for its age. Each piece of fretwork is intact, and its dry surface (possibly rosewood) is richly aged. We are happy to provide further images upon request.
