Sustainability

We believe vintage is the most sustainable option for homeware, and will play an increasingly large part in the world of interiors over the years to come. We’re proud to play a small part in this shift, and celebrating and communicating the beauty of our chosen vintage pieces is our mission. Many of our lines are sourced from local small and family-run businesses along the Sussex coast, who in turn have a low environmental impact.

Our collection is built around the balance between the understated and the exceptional, and although we have complemented our statement vintage with simple contemporary basics in the past (sourced from independent brands and makers) we have steadily phased these out, and our collections in the future will always be largely vintage, antique and pre-loved contemporary. We are committed to only adding new contemporary lines that are created using transparent, responsible and sustainable production practices. If you ask us how your new product was made - start to finish and by whom - we will be able to tell you.

All our packaging is now recyclable, and we only reuse bubble wrap that has been sent to us where absolutely necessary. Likewise we encourage our customers to reuse or our packaging if possible.

Although we continue to make improvements we are keenly aware there will always be more to do, especially as our hope is to bring you the best of vintage and contemporary interior decor in a safer, greener world.

We will keep this page updated, and, of course welcome any feedback or suggestions.
