Antique Wrought Iron Flower and Leaf Basket Chandelier

£0.00
Spoken For

With a drop of over 1 metre, a beautifully and intricately wrought 19th century iron chandelier, either English or French in origin. Pre-dating domestic electrification when made we have left it as found - with a modern three core cord comfortably passed through a central stem by the dealer to illustrate that it can easily be rewired as preferred.

A solid piece but with a faded grandeur, the surface has similarly been left unrestored with plenty of patination as testament to its age. Where its artfully arranged leaves are all in tact two of its three flower heads have lost some of their petals but it remains a striking piece overall.

The original gas tap is still in place to the base, which sits below a central ring which would have held a glass bowl to disperse the light (we will happily refer to a trusted source for a reproduction replacement if required).

Measures approx. 105.5cm by 43cm
