Art Nouveau Winding Nude Pewter Lamp c.1910
A beautifully made continental Art Nouveau lamp with a stylised nude figure winding round its wavy centre. Her hair flows into its waves, which splay down to a flared round base, and her arms outstretch to its top.
In patinated pewter which we have left unpolished, sourced from Sweden but its exact origin is unknown. Given a new sympathetic lamp holder and wired with ivory braided cord, a later wooden base had been added but we prefer it without. The original base likely bore the name of the unknown maker as it is clearly a piece of some quality.
Please note shade is not included
