A Kensington Ware overpainted mantel vase in the after Spry for Fulham. The popular originals formed the basis of the Kensington Pottery’s mid-century versions, borrowing the general silhouette but in various prints and glazes. The overpainted surface of this piece is meant to mimic the unglazed Spry progenitor with the creamware glazed base still visible.
England, c.1950
Approx. dimensions: L 38cm x H 12cm x D 11cm
