French Art Deco Glass Spiral Wall Light c.1930
An Art Deco ‘moulé pressé’ sconce, currently without lamp holder but easily electrified. The pinecone pattern satin pressed glass slip shade sits in a raw silver iron wall bracket with an aged silver finish with spiral and leaf detail. Unsigned and attributed by the dealer to the atelier of René Goro, but akin to pieces by Degué or Muller Frères. Patina to the iron gives a nice depth to the metal and has been given a clear coat of satin lacquer to seal it from any further tarnish. Rust spots to the glass sit under the mount and so are imperceptible when hung.
France, c.1930
Approx. dimensions: H 26cm x W 22cm x D 15cm
