Pair of Art Deco French Plaster Scrolled Wall Lights c.1940
In the manner of Serge Roches, a wonderful pair of plaster wall sconces, each with two scrolled arms and scrolled body with crosshatch relief. Currently unwired but with threads for electrification. Hung by hooks to the reverse with wire entry points to each arm sitting underneath. The original plaster has been gilded at some point and subsequently overpainted to mimic the original off-white matte plaster finish.
Signs of wear as is to be expected with the soft plaster, but cracks and chips have been stabilised and smoothed where required.
