Unmarked but very much in the manner of Louis Süe and André Mare, a fine pair of French Art Deco patinated metal double arm wall sconces. Likely silver-plated brass, each arm is a nicely formed stylised tassel while the back plate is a fluted basket holding swirled florals with another tassel at its base.
Presented for sale unwired with the original lamp holders, each has a bar to the reverse for hanging and a discrete hole for additional fixing through the bottom tassel. We have left them unpolished with their wonderful natural patina, the brass base peeking through in the high spots contrasted with the rich depth of the low.
