A pair of wonderfully detailed cast metal mirrored sconces with a draped swag and leaf motif. Shield shaped and almost heraldic, the heavy metal has a warm silver hue which has been scuffed, buffed, polished and blackened in parts.
Likely a mid-to-late 20th century pair, probably with more recent replacements of the original mirror as each has a different backing. Well made, each weighs almost 1.5kg with a cast hole to the reverse for hanging.
