Pair of Tall Spiral Twist Plaster Lamps c.1970

Each standing at over 50cm high, a pair of sculptural and wonderfully proportioned American plaster cast lamps in the manner of Michael Taylor. Heavy and solid despite their hollow interior with an artfully textured surface, gently twisting in spirals to a flared round base. The original plaster surface had been varnished at some point and subsequently overpainted to mimic the original off-white matte plaster finish.
