Silver Metal Counterweight Candlestick after WAS Benson
A mid-to-late 20th century Swedish interpretation of the distinctive Arts & Crafts WAS Benson counterweight candlestick. With whiplash design and heavy weighted ‘canonball’ providing counterbalance. The silver finish - likely nickel plate - is a modern slant to the original design mirrored in its more streamlined form.
Some patina to its surface, the ball unscrews to provide differing levels of counterbalance.
Approx. dimensions: L 33cm x W 11cm x H 17cm
Sweden, c.1970
