French Art Deco Silver Torchière Lamp
In silvered spun brass, an Art Deco cornet uplight, French c.1930. The rounded and flared basin sits on a rounded base topped with a painted silver copper ring. The lamp holder sits inside casting a warm glow assisted by the wearing of the silver finish to the interior exposing the underlying brass. Wired with an ivory briaded cord and a white on-cord switch.
Some wear as is to be expected, with some scratches to the surface and most notably warping in places of the flared top edge, but overall a wonderfully sculptural piece evocative of the age.
Measures approx. 26.5cm high with a 22cm top diameter and an 11cm base diameter
