Vintage Mid-Century Murano Four Arm Chandelier
This may very well be a temporary listing as we have fallen head over heels for this astonishingly beautiful clear Murano glass chandelier, but while we race to renovate a spot for it at home it will remain available for someone looking for a piece that brilliantly balances ornament and subtlety.
Sourced from Denmark but handmade in Murano in the 1950s with certain hallmarks of Barovier. A frosted, fluted dome base holds four clear ribbed swan-neck arms leading to its clear fluted lamp-holder cups. Four typical feathered leaves stand upright surrounding its long stem, which leads up to a fluted frosted glass rose.
In good vintage condition, there are no chips or cracks to the glass. The long stem being handmade has a slight bend to it, and the frosted dome base (which is sealed by a wooden piece that holds the arms and upright leaves) has some spotted marks, but nothing that detracts from its beauty when hung.
Due its delicate construction this will be a crated delivery, shipped partially disassembled for safety in transit. Further technical details are available upon request, and please feel free to get in touch if you wish to arrange your own courier collection.
