Vintage Murano Vaseline Glass Five Arm Leaf and Flower Chandelier

A rather special early 20th century translucent opal vaseline glass chandelier with a butter milk and sky blue and hue, the depth of which varies with light. With typical applied rigaree decoration to the rose, segmented body stem, bottom bowl and ball finial which are all delicately fluted as are its five arms.

Each arm sits in between dropped and upright leaves and flower stems, an additional spare for each is provided allowing for some variation of placement. The swan arms culminate in bulb shaped petal edge bobeches which hold lampholders. Suspended by a mid-century chain (which can be easily replaced if required) and other original fittings which lead up to rose within which sits a hanging hook.

A handblown piece in remarkably good vintage condition with only few nibbles and age related wear to the glass which are imperceptible when hung.

Measures approx. 60cm x 48cm
