Pair of Baccarat 'Aladdin' Crystal Glass Candlesticks
Not to play favourites but this pair of Bacarrat ‘Aladdin’ candlesticks, c.1960, are high up on the list of things we hope don’t sell so we can keep. The crystal glass is heavy and of the quality you would expect from the storied French makers at Bacarrat, with a twist body and swirl detail rim and the makers mark acid-etched into each base.
Each is handmade, one being ever so slightly larger than the other, the larger bearing a light scratch to its surface and both having some wear to the bases consistent with age and some light marks on the interior of the candle holder from the hand moulding process.
Each measures approx. 16.5cm high with an 8cm diameter base
