Vintage Pair of French Pottery Shell Wall Lights

£0.00
Spoken For

A pair of French Coquille St. Jacques shell faience wall lights c.1940. The original glaze has been overpainted in a lightly textured off-white with a low sheen protective top coat to preserve the finish. Gently curved, the scallop shape has a nice projection with lightly ribbed detail to the body.

The original single aged brass light fitting sits neatly on the inside and some tips for bulb installation will follow upon purchase (there is a knack to it!) Some light scuffs to the interior where the light fitting sits with the original glaze visible.

Each measures approx. 29.5cm wide by 22cm high with an 11cm projection

PAT tested by qualified electrician

Installation by a qualified professional is recommended
