£0.00
Spoken For

A vintage copy of the ‘Kairos’ or ‘Opportunity’ relief by 4th-5th century Greek sculptor Lysippos. The concept of Kairos was central to Sophist philosophy, and this depiction appears to be a copy of an original discovered in Croatia, where the central figure lacks the wings and scales which he is tipping in his favour in the true original.

Rendered in raised relief in plaster and faded terracotta wash with plenty of wear and patina.

Measures approx. 23cm by 16cm with a 3.5cm projection
