These petite salt cellars tested our research skills, and after investigating the discrete stamped name we believe they are by the Spanish silversmith Jose R. Agruna. We believe they are silver as they have the Spanish fineness hallmark implemented after 1934 in the shape of a five-point-star indicating 915/1000 purity.

Each sits on three ball feet with delicate fluting to their centres. We have left them unpolished, one has a very slight indentation where it sits on its ball foot. A very sweet set and rare to find a trio.

Each measures approx. 7.5cm by 6cm by 1.5cm high
