Vintage Swedish Grace Art Deco Silver Pewter Lamp
A stamped Svenskt Tenn round pewter table lamp made by Edlunds Silverfabrik, Stockholm, in 1935. Simple punched and etched scroll details decorate a middle band, and is as common with these pieces a slightly later enigmatic engraving of ‘1937’ is stylistically marked on its front face.
Now wired with an ivory braided cord, the makers mark and production year are stamped on the underside of its stepped base. An earlier conversion with a painted wood insert to the top has now been finished with a more sympathetic chrome dome and lamp holder. We have left it unpolished as is our preference, with patination commensurate with age but could equally polish up beautifully.
Measures approx. 25cm high including lamp holder, with a 14cm diameter overall, and a 9cm diameter base
