Vintage Venetian Etched Teardrop Wall Mirror
Though not of significant age which is our usual preference for these Venetian mirrors, this late 20th century piece caught our eye owing to its unusual teardrop shape. The surround is neatly etched overlaid with a parallel crimp bevel, its crystal screws have been lost giving it a more restrained appearance. Wood back and hung to the reverse with its original rope hanging, the lower set of screws have been replaced at some point but besides its silhouette the beauty of this piece lies in how it looks set to age gracefully as the mirror plate is starting to fox ever so gently in places.
