Pale Alabaster Plafonnier Dish Light c. 1900
A simple yet striking classic pale alabaster plafonnier, sourced locally but likely French/continental in origin. It bears its age very well, with relatively little wear to the soft stone and any imperfections are barely visible when hung.
The stone has a wonderful translucency and subtle veining that adds a good level of contrast suited to the original patinated copper fixings. The round raised foliate fixings are backed with hooks, to which a sympathetic modern chain has been added.
Approx. dimensions: W 41cm x D 15cm
Likely French, c.1900
