Framed Artist's Proof of a Seated Nude
Titled ‘Rosetta’ c.1990, an Aquatint etching of the rear view of a seated nude by British artist Gaby Moore (b.1945-present). Box framed and mounted on textured art paper, the piece appears to have been framed for the Royal Academy’s Summer Exhibition. A very simple but impactful piece from an artist with a broad body of work capturing a range of subjects in drawing, etching and Aquatint.
Some light watermarks to the paper surface and age to the edges of the frame but not so as to detract from the striking simplicity of the rendering.
Measures approx. 14cm by 33cm with a 3cm projection
