French Art Deco Leaping Gazelle Glass Lamp
Made in France c.1930, a moulded glass sphere lamp circled with raised leaping gazelles, typically Art Deco in manner after Lalique. The opaque frosted glass surface has a neutral coloration and matte finish, the five stylised gazelles neatly rendered.
Original aged bronze fittings cap the top with discrete surface wear, including a small nick near the base (pictured) and light imperfections from the making process. Though imperceptible by eye thanks to the frosting there are a couple of loose hardened paste chips - from the original paste used to fix the cap - which can be heard when handling.
Wired with a sympathetic chocolate braided cord and white on-cord switch.
Measures approx. 21cm high including lamp holder with a 16cm diameter and a 9cm diameter base
PAT tested by a qaulified electrician
Please note shade is not included
